No. 242 (1971 ) Synopsis: Superman is drained of his powers then beaten by a “demon giant.” After he is hospitalized, mod Diana Prince and her mentor, I-Ching, are called in. As they wait to hear news of Superman’s surgery, the “demon giant” appears and attacks the recovering Superman.
No. 326 (1978 ) Synopsis: Superman learns that Dr. Peter Silverstone has engineered his forced employment by UBC and destroys the mechanism responsible for his fugues. He destroys Blackrock III, which was a construct of ionic particles, and bollixes the revelation of his secret identity with help from Wonder Woman.
Annual No. 11 (1985 ) Synopsis: Batman, Robin II, and Wonder Woman come to Superman’s birthday party in the Fortress of Solitude, only to find that Mongul has placed him in a trance with the help of an alien “black mercy” plant which gives him the vision he most desires--of being married to Lyla Lerrol, having children, and living as a geologist on a Krypton that never exploded.
