Part Five: He Was So...
He was so difficult.
When I was with Bruce, Kal acted like a jealous ex.
He was subtle about it though.
Only someone who knew him as well as I did could tell.
We were at a meeting and I would support something Bruce would say and Kal would take in a sharp breath.
Sometimes he would look at me with this broken puppy dog look.
It wasn't fair.
For a thousand years I showed him how much I loved him, but he wanted only her.
When I had tried to love another he looked so betrayed.
Part of me was angry at him, but another part of me understood.
I felt the same way about him and her.
It wasn't fair on either side, but love never is.
