A Tropical Tussle

Written by Unoaranya30

Wonder Woman flew very fast.  She had to hustle.

She was very excited.

She was meeting Kal for an appointed tussle.

The opportunities they’d had to spar had been few and scattered.

But the fact that she was meeting him now was what mattered.

She just loved that Kal was so strong and gentle and pure.

And the fact that he’d agreed to meet someplace distant and obscure.

She began to descend as their tiny island came into view.

She pictured Kal’s gentle smile and strength as she flew.

Diana dropped from the sky to the sand as she landed.

She thrilled to see that Kal was there as they’d planned it.

He walked up to her and she planted a kiss on his cheek.

She’d missed him.

They hadn’t seen each other for nearly a week.

Kal felt all warm and tingly and he grinned like a fool.

Diana touched his face and smiled back. Wait! Was that drool?!

They separated slowly then each took up a stance.

Their fight would be long but sweet, like a dance.

Kal suddenly blurred at her, tackling her to the ground.

Diana fought and resisted without making a sound.

She grabbed a wrist and some hair and flipped him off quickly

Kal smiled to himself.

Diana could be very tricky.

Diana charged then feinted and kicked at his head.

Her foot, it connected and he fell as though dead.

She stopped as a feeling of dread began to blossom.

As she approached, she wondered, was he playing possum?

She knelt down beside him and placed her ear to his heart.

He grabbed her so quickly, it gave her a start.

He rolled her beneath him and she knew she was pinned.

Kal squeezed her so hard she couldn’t get any wind.

Kal smiled to himself as he smelled her face and her hair.

It was oxygen that she needed?  He had plenty of air.

He lowered his head and placed his lips over hers.

The air was electric as strong emotions began to stir.

He lifted his head and worried, “Did I offend her.”

But her eyes glowed, as she pulled him back in a kiss of sweet surrender
